November 5, 2008, Fresno City College
The reception being offered on Wednesday evening, is in a forum format to inform current and prospective veteran
students about the services offered on our campus and those services available throughout our Fresno community. The presenters from our campus will represent
the Psychological Services Office, the Employment Resource Center, the Disabled Students Program, and some other areas of influence that will assist our
veterans to succeed academically. The off-campus agencies being represented will be the V.A. County Office, EDD, Work Force Development, and others.
My goal is to inform our campus veterans of the community outreach services that are 'out there' for their use. Basically, my feeling is that our veterans
do not have access to information about the services that are offered at the community level, and my goal is to get that information to the veterans, at
least, here on campus!

November 7, 2008 Fresno City College The Veterans Memorial Program being presented on Friday, is our annual veterans' ceremony when we give honor
to all veterans, and, also, when we give special recognition to a particular group each year. Traditionally, the program is presented the Friday preceding
actual Veterans Day because we have students on campus on that day since Veterans Day is a school holiday. This year special recognition will be given to the World War II veterans! If you can assist our committee with accessing names of WWII veterans, we would be so appreciative!
