Strength At Home

Building stronger relationships on the Homefront for those who served and their families

Program Description:

The Community Circles Strength At Home Program offers relationship strengthening programs to help National Guard/Reserve and Veterans and their families (including friends) to adjust after the unique stresses associated with deployment and/or separation from service. We know that many personal changes often impact relationships upon homecoming.

To support you, we are offering the Strength At Home program, for military service members/veterans paired with their spouse or a friend or a relative(grandparent, Parent, Sibling, etc).

The Community Circles Strength At Home Program offers FREE two hour classes per week for 10-12 weeks at San Joaquin Valley Veterans and other Fresno, CA locations. Classes to meet your schedule include options for Weekday Evenings, Weekday Lunch or Weekend time slots. Refreshments, light meals and on-site child care are offered at no cost for class participants. Stipends ranging from $220 to $240 (per participating military member & friend or relative) are available to offset your cost of attending classes. Stipends will be paid in cash to participants.

Goal:

The goal of this program is to enhance communication, closeness, and happiness in your relationship after a deployment or separation from service. This program is part of a research study to improve services to veterans and military families.
